I saw The Omen 2 days ago and XMen III - The Last Stand last night with my friends.The Omen is a remake of a 1976 movie. Apparently the original was quite scary. Well, then not much have changed. This movie is not so scary in terms of blood and guts as it is a psychological thriller.
It plays upon the notion that 2006-06-06 (or 060606 or 666) would be the start of the apocalypse. The movie was released at 06:06:06 in the morning and broke the record for the highest ever gross earnings on the day of release for a Tuesday release. The movie is really well done and I didn’t get the sense of it being just another scary movie. It did remind me sometimes of the movie The Good Son. I thought the leading actress was Lousy, but the husband, Liev Schreiber, really did an excellent job. The English photographer bloke too.
XMen - The Last Stand, Overall the movie was not bad, lots of new mutant, the special effect was amazing, but I feel the movie was to short & everybody die in this movie. To be honest, aku expect lebih banyak action daripada cerita pas nonton ini, but at the end, ga ada yg mengalahkan kekuatan phoenix (in terms of power vs power), kecuali cinta si wolverine. Jadi less actions, more stories.. ;)
If you like these kinds of movies you will not be disappointed.
